The Unity East 4th & 5th grade choir went on tour this morning, visiting several local nursing homes to spread their cheer. They were met with great reviews and made the day brighter for many people. Great job representing the Rockets, choir!
Great job on your performance tonight 2nd & 3rd Grade! Awesome job!
East staff enjoyed an "underground" spirit week with secret themes each day. Most students caught on to the ruse around Wednesday when they noticed us drinking from anything but a cup. It's a fun and festive month at Unity East! Don't forget about the school-wide spirit week next week!
Unity East staff are having a door decorating contest and we need your help in determining a winner! Vote by liking a photo. You may vote for more than one entry, but all votes must be on the original post in the East PTO facebook page to be counted. Wednesday, December 18th is the last day to vote. Thank you for helping us spread holiday cheer!!

We are happy to announce the results of the Student Senate Top Turkey contest. Congratulations to our top three winners: for 3rd place Ms. Hanners, followed by Mrs. Long in 2nd place, and the 2024 Unity East Top Turkey, Miss Bagwell! Thank you to all who donated to Top Turkey this year!
Earlier this week we had over 300 students and family members stop by our Family Night and Book Fair. A special thank you to the PTO for putting on the book fair and to the team of teachers that planned and pulled together the pirate night and scavenger hunt! We hope everyone who attended had a good evening!
Sharing a positive note that came our way yesterday: "Today I was in my car on the east side of the school waiting to pick up. I observed Ms Cline exit with her little ones behind headed for the school buses. Before they reached the last bus, the older kids came out and headed for the buses. The older kids then waited for the littles to get on the buses! They stood there, faces into the blowing snow, until the last little got on the bus. I was impressed by their kindness. Someone is doing something right!"
Great job showing kindness, 3rd/4th/5th!

Unity East Student Senate is hosting a small fundraiser next week, our annual Top Turkey contest. Students can vote for a favorite staff member by buying a feather for 25 cents. The teacher with the most feathers wins a lovely turkey crown and sash to wear the day before break! Proceeds will benefit Unity East Student Senate projects.
