Special thanks to Mrs. Seidlitz's class from UHS that visited Mrs. Roberts' 1st graders yesterday.
Students in 1R drew pictures of monsters and shared them with their high school partners. The high schoolers took the pictures and created real-life stuffed versions of the creatures. Yesterday the high school class visited to present their creations and play games.
Shown in the picture are the 1st graders with their high school partners.
Thank you UHS!

Unity East Read-a-thon Update
We are half-way done and our Read-a-thon is doing great! As a school we have read for almost 30,000 minutes (500 hours)! We are also closing in on our fundraising goal of $10,000 thanks to over 380 individual donations.
The teachers and staff at East would like to take a moment to send a special shout-out and thank you to our substitute teachers, who have been tremendously helpful over the past few weeks.
Our group of subs are dependable, flexible, and care for our students.
Even more, we wouldn't be able to stay open without them!
Thank you substitutes!
